Coloured Render
Modern Coloured Render
Advancements in technology with the addition of specialist additives to the base materials such as polymers, silicones acrylics, aggregate reinforcements and anti-crack fibres, modern renders are a perfect cost effective solution for a variety of external wall applications.

There is also such a wide range of colours available and specialist finishes that can be achieved. An example is ashlar stone or brick effect which has resulted in modern render being an integrated part of a building’s design, as opposed to just forming a protective coating from the elements.
The introduction of Portland cement into render products has also allowed through coloured renders to be manufactured. As Portland cement is white colour pigments can easily be mixed into it during the manufacturing process since the white cement does not drown out the colour, as was the case with traditional grey cement.
This process has resulted in many different colours being available to choose from and, as the actual render material is coloured all the way through, it will not wear off like a top coat of paint. This means that, unless you change your mind about the colour, it will never have to be painted.
Depending upon the type of render being used it can either come as a dry mix in bags that has to be mixed on site with water, or it can come ready mixed in tubs.
The different types of modern coloured render.
Whilst each manufacturer has their own individual branded product names, there are 4 main different types of modern render which are:
Monocouche Render
Silicone Render
